Whilst the RSMS visa is Permanent Visa, the Migration Act also allows the Department to cancel the RSMS visa of an employee if:
- the employee does not start working for the employer within 6 months of arriving in Australia
- the employee does not make a genuine effort to stay and work with the employer for at least 2 years
