新偏远地区技术签证491是一个有效期为5年的临时工作签证。491签证可以通过州政府/领地担保或者亲属担保两种方式来获取。签证获批后需要在政府指定的偏远地区居住和工作一段时间才能转永居。491签证需要主申请人和家人在指定偏远地区工作和居住满3年就能转永久居民，也就是191签证。
491签证申请条件
- 职业在491签证职业清单上（担保州的职业清单上）
- 通过职业评估
- 申请人要求是45岁以下
- 通过职业评估
- EOI打分达到65分（包括州担保的15分）
- 达到英文要求
- 无犯罪记录
- 身体健康
- 申请人必须严格遵守临居签证8579条约（居住条约），以及遵守其他条约。 也就是， 要求在指定偏远地区居住3年。
- 五年内的3年，每年的应纳税收入不低于$539,00

普通性技术移民签证是为海外专业人士，管理人员，技工和国际学生在澳大利亚申 请居留最常见的签证。最常见的签证类别有：

该类型签证的基本要求是什么？
申请这些签证，您需要满足以下要求：
- 年龄小于45岁;
- 职业在澳洲技术移民的短期职业列表技术职业清单 （STSOL）或者中长期职业列表（MLTSSL）
- 通过职业评估
- 达到可胜任的英语能力-如雅思4个6或者同等学历（分数越高，可以被授予附加分）
- 移民打分分数至少65分
从2012年7月1日起， 申请者有意申请普通性技术移民签证必须先递交意向申请（EOI）并且必须收到移民邀请（ITA）后，才能进行签证申请。
申请者也需要满足以下的具体要求：
- 190州政府担保技术移民签证必须有州/领地政府担保
- 491 偏远地区担保技术移民 (临时签证) 必须有州/领地政府担保。
- 189独立技术移民签证没有州政府担保或者家属担保的硬性要求。
申请流程如下：
- 查看是否满足移民打分系统资格
- 通过技术评估并且取得所需的英语考试成绩
- 通过SkillSelect递交意向申请（EOI）
- 申请州担保（如果符合条件）
- 在收到邀请函（ITA）的60天内递交签证申请，签证申请必须包括所有的证明文件。
