Lochlan Reef MacNicol (MARN 2117075) completed a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Adelaide in 2015. He is admitted as a lawyer and barrister to the Supreme Court of South Australia and joined Work Visa Lawyers in November 2020.

Prior to joining Work Visa Lawyers he spent two years based in Vientiane, Laos, working in corporate and commercial law on a diverse range of matters dealing with clients and counterparts from all over the world.

Lochlan’s creativity, clear thinking and resourcefulness make him a collaborative and empathetic migration lawyer and his skills in legal writing and reasoning support his formulation of successful submissions to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection on behalf of Work Visa Lawyer clients.

Lochlan understands the diverse issues facing clients and works diligently to achieve their visa and immigration goals.

Lochlan’s primary practice areas include:

  • Review of Ministerial decisions at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal;
  • Judicial Review of decisions of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal at the Federal Circuit Court;
  • Visa cancellations, including character grounds;
  • Visa applications, particularly the 858 Global Talent Visa.
